| Brief Details: | In this online session we’ll look at some ways to get more out of your time on Twitter, plus there’ll be a chance to swap experiences with others. |
| Information: | RSC Wales is currently looking for new ways to reach more people, whilst saving travel costs, by using online conferencing. The aim of our online 'Lunchtime Bytes' is to deliver bite-sized chunks of information in real time to you at your desk, in an interactive way. No prior experience of online conferencing is needed: full instructions and support are provided beforehand. In this “Lunchtime Byte” we’ll look at ways to get more out of your time on Twitter. Twitter http://twitter.com is an increasingly popular social networking tool, and it can be an excellent resource in education. At the same time, it can seem unwieldy and a time-thief! This session offers some quick tips on how to get more out of your time on Twitter. For example we’ll look at: - Useful Twitter features to help you filter information - Using Tweetdeck to manage your time on Twitter - Finding an effective tweeting style The session is based on tips we at RSC Wales have picked up over the last year or so of using Twitter in our work. But there are few hard and fast rules with Twitter, so feel free to bring along your own ideas and experiences to share. As an added bonus, you’ll also gain valuable experience of participating in a “virtual classroom”.
